The Children's 4th of July Parade sponsored by the Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department will be held on Monday, July 4. Units will start lining up at 9:30 a.m. in the Parker Junior High School parking lot. Parade steps off at 10 a.m.
As always, the parade is for children of all ages from strollers to two-wheelers. Children decorate their bikes, tricycles or wagons and parade down Flossmoor Road to downtown Flossmoor.
There will also be a demonstration of the fire department's operations and free refreshments.
