Flossmoor School District 161 has scheduled registration for incoming kindergarten students who will enter the schools this fall.
Rregistration will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at Flossmoor Hills School, 3721 Beech St., Flossmoor; Heather Hill School, 1439 Lawrence Crescent, Flossmoor; Serena Hills School, 255 Pleasant Drive, Chicago Heights. Western Avenue School, 940 Western Ave., Flossmoor, will host registration from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20.
A full day program (8:40 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) is available at each elementary school districtwide.

Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to register.
The following documents must be provided:

- the child’s original birth certificate with the raised seal
- parent’s Illinois driver’s license with a District 161 address
- parent’s mortgage or current lease with a District 161 address
- one of the following with a current date and a District 161 address: utility bill or home/apartment insurance policy.
School physicals, up-to-date immunizations, a dental exam, eye exam and lead assessment are required by Friday, Aug. 5, for students entering kindergarten. The law requires that students who do not meet these requirements be excluded from school.
