The school will present Navigating the Social World for Students with Social Challenges with presenter, Linda Heck, an Illinois Autism & Technical Assistance Project Trainer and Autism consultant. She has more than 30 years experience working with children with special needs, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and emotional, physical and learning disabilities.
The process of social thinking, acting and feeling in school, at home, and in the community will be addressed. This interactive discussion will provide an overview of the developmental levels of social skills and suggestions on how to provide opportunities with support.
