Tickets are now on sale for the The Stage Community Theatre's one-day performance of "Amazing Grace" to be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, at the H-F Park District Auditorium, 2010 Chestnut, Homewood.
"Amazing Grace" tells the story of a little girl in New York City who loves acting out stories and learns the power of setting her mind to reach her goals, even if others say they are out of her reach. The play is being directed by Dawn Leader-Peloso of Homewood. It is based on the book "Amazing Grace" by Mary Hoffman that was adapted for the stage by Shay Youngblood.
Tickets — $7 per adult, $5 per child — can be ordered in advance at 708-957-PARK or purchased at the door. Theatre goers will receive $1 back at the door if they bring in three non-perishable food items, which will be donated to a local food pantry.
