The July Fourth Independence Day parade is a Homewood tradition that celebrates the birthday of our great nation and the many faces of our great community.
Thousands of friends and neighbors will gather along the parade route. This year, lots of entertainment has been added in, such as stilt walkers, jugglers, clowns, bands, bagpipes, decorated floats, giant balloons and horses.
The route starts at St. Joseph's Church on Dixie Highway and travels east along Ridge Road, finishing up at Izaak Walton Preserve where the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District and Homewood Fire Department will host games and entertainment at the Family Fun Fest.
