Quit Smoking for Good with Freedom from Smoking® At the Ingalls Wellness Center in Homewood

Are you ready to quit smoking? The Ingalls Wellness Center can help.

The Wellness Center offers the American Lung Association’s eight-week Freedom from Smoking® group program. Using a positive behavioral approach that teaches you how to become a non-smoker for good, the program addresses many aspects of quitting including dealing with roadblocks, nicotine replacement, prescription medications, weight gain, stress management, and alternatives to smoking.

The next eight-week series begins Thursday, July 21, and runs through Thursday, Sept. 1. Sessions meet weekly from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ingalls Wellness Center, 2920 W. 183rd St., in Homewood.

Cost is $85 per person for all eight sessions and program materials. Medicare and some insurance plans now cover the cost of smoking-cessation programs.
