Flossmoor Election: Paul Braun Re-Elected Mayor in Tight Race

Paul Braun narrowly escapes a challenge from former trustee Jeanne "Gigi" Gummerson in the 2017 Flossmoor mayoral election.

FLOSSMOOR, IL - Incumbent Mayor Paul Braun faces challenger Jeanne "Gigi" Gummerson - a former village trustee - in the race for Mayor in 2017. With all precincts from Flossmoor having been reported by the Cook County Clerk's Office as of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, it appears Braun has been re-elected as mayor of the village. Unofficial results indicate Braun has received 54 percent of the vote compared to Gummerson's 46 percent.

In the race for village trustees in Flossmoor, projected winners include Beverly Diane Williams, Philip J. Minga and Brian H. Driscoll.
