Flossmoor Man Charged in Home Invasion, Beating of Elderly Man
The man and a second offender beat and robbed the 80-year-old man before fleeing the scene in December 2011.
A Flossmoor man was arrested Thursday and charged in the 2011 home invasion and battery of an 80-year-old Chicago man.
Milek Harris, 22, of the 800 block of Gardner Road, was allegedly one of the offenders who broke into the man’s home in the 9800 block of Throop Street on Dec. 6, 2011. The offenders beat the man and robbed him before fleeing. The victim was taken to Christ Hospital and treated for injuries. Harris was charged with felony aggravated beating of a victim, 60 years or older, felony home invasion/dangerous weapon, and felony robbery armed other dangerous weapon.
A first offender—21-year-old Jerrell Harris—was charged May 15 in connection with the incident.
