Flossmoor Police Shooting: Crowd Expected At Village Board Meeting
A large turnout is anticipated for Monday's Village Board meeting, following the fatal shooting of Madeline Miller by police on July 10.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor officials are anticipating a large turnout at the July 18 Village Board meeting, after police fatally shot a 64-year-old resident last week.
Madeline Miller, of the 1400 block of Joyce Drive, was shot Sunday, July 10, after police responded to a call reporting a domestic disturbance at the residence. A subsequent report noted that Miller had threatened to kill another person inside the home. Body cam footage showed that Miller came to the door holding a large kitchen knife, and quickly moved toward officers, ignoring police commands to stop.
Miller was shot three times and pronounced dead at Advocate South Suburban Hospital.
