Flossmoor Teen Indicted in Brother's Stabbing Death
Michael Tigue, 15, is charged with one count of murder in the death of his 25-year-old brother.
A Flossmoor teen was indicted recently in the death of his older brother.
Michael Tigue, 15, is charged with one count of murder in the December stabbing death of his 25-year-old brother Steven.
The morning of the stabbing, Steven was home visiting for the holidays when Michael attacked him with a golf club. After Steven wrestled the club from his brother's hands, Michael drew a steak knife and stabbed him to death, prosecutors said. Tigue was arrested by Flossmoor police who responded to a domestic disturbance at their home early that day.
Prosecutors said Michael attacked his sibling after what he perceived as bullying.
Tigue was previously held on a $2 million bond. He has been held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago while his criminal case is pending.
