Flossmoor Woman Celebrates 105th Birthday
Juanita Mitchell was recognized for her years of civic work with a resolution from the village.

FLOSSMOOR, IL - Juanita Mitchell, a well-known resident of Flossmoor who has been recognized by the village several times, hit another milestone recently.
She just turned 105 years old.
Mitchell was honored with a resolution marking the milestone at the most recent Flossmoor Village Board meeting, according to an article from the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle.

The resolution was read by Flossmoor Mayor Paul Braun, who said Mitchell has “earned the respect and admiration of people from all walks of life.”
Mitchell, who has lived in Flossmoor for the last 20 years, has devoted her life to involvement in school and civic functions and has been active in the Ballantrae Community Association and the village’s Beautification Committee.
