Forum Set For Students After Alleged Sexual Assault at H-F High School
Students of Homewood-Flossmoor High School students are invited to participate in a forum after school Tuesday.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A forum has been scheduled for Homewood-Flossmoor High School students following one student's allegation of sexual assault by another, according to an email sent to parents Tuesday.
The forum will take place after school Tuesday in the school's south gym, according to the email from Homewood-Flossmoor District 233 Superintendent Dr. Scott Wakeley and Homewood-Flossmoor High School Principal Dr. Clinton Alexander.
The forum is intended to "provide students with a space to voice their concerns and work with the administration," the email states.

"Our hope is that students will utilize this opportunity to work collaboratively with us to make an impact for their school."
A female student on Oct. 31 told school officials that she had been sexually assaulted by a male student while on campus earlier that morning. The assault allegedly took place while students in the theater department were in breakout sessions to rehearse lines, officials stated.

Flossmoor police officers took a male juvenile student into custody and transported him to the police department for further questioning. The male student was later released to the custody of his father while the investigation is ongoing.
"This is a difficult time for the entire H-F school community as we process the events of Oct. 31," the email said.
