Action for a Better Tomorrow will host a benefit party for the South Suburban Family Shelter on March 25 in Flossmoor.

From the South Suburban Family Shelter: The South Suburban chapter of Action for a Better Tomorrow (ABT) is hosting the “Come Party for a Cause” event for the South Suburban Family Shelter (SSFS) on Saturday, March 25 from 7 to 10 PM at the Flossmoor Community House, 847 Hutchison Road. The evening will feature music by local musicians MG Bailey, Carrie Bonanotte and Fragile Soul. Admission includes beer and wine, dinner and dessert. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets for unique items from Upsadaisy, Homewood Florist, Healthy Hounds, Intense Conditioning, TLC Massage and other local businesses. Families are welcome and children under 7 are free. Tickets are $20 at the door or $16 in advance. For tickets and information visit www.EventBrite.com and search for Shelter Our Shelter or phone Anne Bailey at (708)543-3847.
“We were inspired by SSFS’s ‘Tell 7 Campaign’ which raised awareness about the lack of promised funding our shelter has received from the State of Illinois,” said Anne Bailey from Action for a BetterTomorrow South Suburbs. “This is one way our motivated community can show support for families who are victims of domestic violence.”
ABT, a grassroots advocacy group founded after the 2016 election, is already over 32,000 strong, making it one of the fastest growing grassroots groups in the state. ABT South Suburbs alone has over 620 members. ABT’s chapters, including its active South Suburbs Chapter, will be hosting such meet & greets with candidates throughout the election season to empower and educate its membership and local communities.
