Canadian National railroad police will conduct safety blitz operations at the Metra station in Homewood targeting commuters for Rail Safety Week from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

CN police will be reaching out to commuters with strong messages about the risks of unsafe behavior at railroad crossings and on railroad property.

Come out and support the Vikings on Wednesday for this tennis match. The event starts at 4:30 p.m.

(Thursday, May 5)

Come out to on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to hear the "Prairie Godmothers" share their raves and faves of native plants. Natives conserve water, enrich soil and remain in balance with our surroundings. In addition, they can be easily worked into your garden to create a feast for the senses.

Come see spring play performances, based on Ovid's transformation myths. Metamorphoses subtly mixes the ancient stories of pathos and tragedy with contemporary language, humor and thought, all enacted in and around a beautiful pool of water. There will be performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
