Gimme 5: H-F's Tara Nye Eyes a Return to State
After making a quick exit last year, Vikings' badminton standout sets goal to make it back and advance further at the IHSA state finals.
Homewood-Flossmoor's Tara Nye credits one of her teachers for prodding her to get involved in badminton.
“My freshman year basketball coach actually needed more players for the team,” Nye said. “Since I was athletic, he thought I would be good at it.”
It’s was a good suggestion by the teacher as Nye has improved steadily each year of her high school career.
