Senior first baseman hopes his team and his baseball career can go far.

Homewood-Flossmoor senior first baseman Ryan Rasmas has big dreams for the Vikings and for himself when it comes to baseball.

Rasmas said he wants to win a state championship with his team to make a perfect ending to his last season. But after he graduates from Homewood-Flossmoor this spring, he will start focusing on his ultimate goal.

"Hopefully getting drafted," he said. "I want to be playing minor league ball."

Rasmas said he played basketball and soccer when he was growing up, too. But he picked baseball because of the pace of play and his love of the game. In his freetime, he said he likes to work out.

He still is undecided on where he will attend college.
