Quotable: H-F coach Dana Noble on the team’s second straight regional: “I’m very pleased. The girls played hard. I thought some things didn’t go our way like we would have liked. I think we made too many turnovers and missed too many layups, but the girls kept their composure and they battled through it.”

Stagg coach Bill Turner on his team’s turnovers: “We played way too much defense. I think we ended up playing defense for probably about 70 possessions if you count them all up. … From that standpoint, 40 points, giving a team that many possessions, we played great defense. It was just on the other end that we gave them too many opportunities.”

Team Records: Homewood-Flossmoor: 22-7. Stagg: 11-19.

What’s Next: H-F will play Marian Catholic in the Lincoln-Way North Sectional on Monday at 6 p.m.
