H-F Racquet & Fitness Club to Honor Two Members' 100th Birthdays

The H-F Racquet & Fitness Club (the Club), located at 2920 W. 183rd St., Homewood, will honor two of its members turning 100 years of age this September. A small mid-day celebration will be held at the beginning of October, giving the centenarians a chance to recover from their personal family celebrations.

Mary Cantway, who turns 100 on September 30 can be found in the Club’s Fitness Center every day, walking the track, working out on the Cybex strengthening equipment and using free weights. Max Eysenbach who turned 100 on September 13 has been a member almost from the very day the Club opened in 1973. He can be found around the Club in the summer involving himself with its annual Tennisfest. Both members are long-time Homewood residents and devoted Club members. Mary and Max find the Club gives them not only health and fitness benefits and opportunities but also serve as a social outlet.
