H-F Teacher Puts on Drunken Show during 'Star Wars': Cops

James Sokoloski is a math teacher and head junior varsity wrestling coach.

A Homewood-Flossmoor High School teacher who couldn’t keep quiet during a sold-out showing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been charged after allegedly causing a drunken ruckus.

James Sokoloski II, 30, and a friend who is a dean at the school were watching the movie at Marcus Cinema in Orland Park Dec. 17 when they stood up and began shouting, disrupting other customers’ viewing, Daily Southtown reports. Security was called, but Sokoloski refused to leave, demanding they call ”the real police.” An off-duty Cook County Sheriff’s officer cuffed him and led him from the theater.

Police said Sokoloski, of the 5600 block of 158th Street in Oak Forest, smelled of alcohol and threatened to sue police for his arrest. The Force must not have been with him, because they charged him anyway with disorderly conduct, resisting police, and criminal trespass.
