Heads Up: Flossmoor Water Main Work Ahead, Meeting Tuesday Night

Over the next eight years, the village of Flossmoor will replace 10 percent of the water mains and fire hydrants in the village. The project kicks off this summer, with work scheduled to begin on five roads in the village.

The water mains in Flossmoor are in for a major overhaul over the next few years, with work set to begin this summer on several mains in the village. The work, which is scheduled over the next eight years, will replace six miles, or approximately 10 percent, of the water mains and fire hydrants in Flossmoor.

A meeting to discuss the water main project will take place Tuesday, June 11, at the Flossmoor Village Hall at 7 p.m.

The meeting will consist of a short presentation from the village, followed by a question and answer session for residents. The entire meeting is expected to last about one hour.

The first phase of the construction project will consist of work on the following mains:

  • Bob O’ Link Avenue
  • Golfview and Robertson Lane, Mast Court
  • Brassie Avenue (South of DunDonald Road)
  • Bunker Avenue
  • First and Second Private Road
