Hillcrest HS Cross Country Team Finishes Strong

Girls' Cross Country Finishes Strong at Conference Championship

The Hillcrest Girls Cross Country teams placed sixth at the South Suburban Blue Conference Championships on October 18 at Thornwood Fractional South High School in Lansing.

The Varsity Team had strong performances from Tia Alexander and Taraji Stevens, running their personal best times and earning All-Conference honors. Also running for Varsity was Joshulyn Shepard, Denishya Waller, Yaa Asante and Aaleyah Brown.

At the freshmen/sophomore level, the Hawks were led by Jasmine Curry earning All-Conference honors placing seventh. Other outstanding efforts were turned in by Coy Jones, Tasia Small, Kyla Wembly, Christina Vega-Allen and Delois Ivery.
