Hillcrest HS Hosts Bonfire

Non-perishable food items collected as admission to bonfire

Smoke rose above Hillcrest High school’s softball fields for the first bonfire in over 20 years. The student leadership team, student council, and the student athletic leader team organized an enjoyable get-together on a beautiful October night. “The evening was well attended by both staff and administration. The glow of the embers illuminated the night sky. What a gratifying way for the students to spend their evening. The melody from the music and the smell of hot chocolate and s’mores filled the evening,” said Ms. Jane Molek, Hillcrest Science Teacher. Admission was one nonperishable item, which will be donated to Together we Cope. Thank you to teachers Ms. Carissa Fetig, Ms. Jane Molek, and Ms. Kristen Cardinal for organizing this memorable event.
