Hillcrest HS Hosts Elective Fair

Students discovered an abundance of elective courses offered

Did you know that there’s a course offered at Hillcrest High School that’s hands-on, fun, and gives you 3 college credits? The name of this new and exciting course is “Communication Arts & Technology.” This is just some of the information that Hillcrest students were able to discover at the “Elective Fair” held this week.

Hillcrest has an abundance of elective courses to offer students and several new courses will be added for the 2015-16 school year. The Elective Fair gives students an opportunity to talk with current students who are enrolled in elective courses and see displays that showcase the different course designs. Colorful displays, demonstrations, and elaborate stands showcased the wealth of electives students have to choose from for next year.

Will our students choose the new “Career Practicum” to experience the real world, “Culinary Arts” to sharpen their baking skills and prepare scrumptious pastries, or “Digital Literacy” to learn and use professional grade audio equipment?
