Hillcrest HS Key Club Donates to Family Shelter

Hillcrest High School Key Club had the pleasure of delivering over 400 toiletry items to the South Suburban Family Shelter in Homewood. “The Shelter’s staff greeted us with hugs and handshakes,” said Ms. Amy Trench, Hillcrest High Key Club Sponsor. Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. ”The students and staff generosity is overwhelming and the Key Club members are thrilled to be able to help our community in this way,” said Ms. Trench. Ms. Kristen Cardinal’s first period Advanced Placement Biology class collected 84 items and earned a special breakfast sponsored by the Key Club.
