Hillcrest HS Students Visit NIU Campus

Students learn about campus life

Recently, Hillcrest College Advisor, Ms. Jessica Schraft, embarked on an excursion with Hillcrest students to visit Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. The students were able to explore the 750 acre campus on a walking tour guided by a Northern Illinois student ambassador. “Our students showed a genuine interest in campus life and academics,” said Ms. Schraft. Representatives from the NIU Financial Aid Office and Admissions spoke with the students regarding application procedures and requirements. “Many of the students are eagerly looking forward to becoming a ‘Husky,” said Schraft. Northern is ranked in the top 125 public schools in the Nation with an undergraduate enrollment of over 15,000 students.
