Hillcrest HS Students Visit Purdue University Calumet
Students learn about Purdue's academic programs and student life

Hillcrest High School Counselors, Mr. Eric Johnson, Ms. Kamille Greer, and Ms. Jessica Schraft, traveled with 30 juniors and seniors to Purdue University Calumet. The students toured the campus and learned about Purdue’s academic programs and student life. Purdue Calumet offers Baccalaureate and Master’s degrees in 50 programs of study. It is a residential campus offering apartment style, private bedroom living for nearly 750 students.
Hillcrest students attended an admissions presentation, toured the classrooms, the workout facility and dorms. They finished the day by dining in the student cafeteria to experience what it is like to be a student at Purdue Calumet.
The Hillcrest counselors have an ongoing relationship with colleges and universities to support student contact and resources outside of the school.
