Hillcrest HS Students Visit Univ. of St. Francis

Students learn about USF academic programs and student life

Recently, Hillcrest High School seniors traveled to the University of St. Francis in Joliet to tour the campus and learn about their academic programs and student life. USF has a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence. It is one of only six Illinois colleges and universities noted on the “2015 Best Colleges for Veterans” list.

Hillcrest students attended presentations about student life, how to work through the admissions process, and financial aid. They experienced a true perspective of student life visiting the academic classes and several St. Francis buildings. Students also had the opportunity to tour the residence living areas and individual rooms.

“The campus offered an intimate environment. I like the fact that the distance between all of the buildings were close enough to walk. Also, the campus is about a 30 minute drive from Hillcrest, which allows students the opportunity to either commute or live on campus. I was proud to hear our students ask good questions about the University. I am excited that a several of our students are planning on applying to University of St. Francis,” said Ms. Takeesha Dade, Hillcrest Guidance Counselor.
