Homewood Arts Week Continues
The village of Homewood will begin its first Arts Week Monday night.

HOMEWOOD, IL — The first ever Homewood Arts Week begins Monday night in the village. The week-long initiative will celebrate the arts and support worthy causes.
Here's a look at what is planned this week in Homewood, courtesy of a newsletter from the village.
- Monday, June 5: Homewood-Flossmoor Student Arts Exhibition, Bottle & Bottega (2009 Ridge Road, Homewood), 5-8 p.m. PLUS, Matt Bailey on the Martin Ave. Square and Survivors Art Show at the Cancer Support Center!
- Tuesday, June 6: T.A.L.K (Theatre and Arts Leadership Kouncil) Improv, Street and Community Art, Martin Avenue Square (18020 Martin Avenue, Homewood), 5-8 PM. PLUS workshops at Loulou Belle and at the Homewood Science Center, a cocktail party celebration and dedication of the Michael Wexler Theater.
- Wednesday, June 7: Donate What You Can: PopUP Science Mini Film Fest, The Homewood Science Center (18022, Dixie Highway, Homewood), 5-8 p.m. PLUS, Work in Progress on Martin Ave. Square and chalk painting demo at Loulou Belle.
- Thursday, June 8: Art Auction Benefiting the South Suburban Family Shelter, Bottle & Bottega with after-party at Copper Still Martini Bar (1961 Ridge Road, Homewood), 5 p.m. PLUS, Squirt Gun Art at Art 4 Soul (18135 Harwood) and artist reception at Redbird Cafe from 6-8 p.m. (2057 Ridge Road).

- Friday, June 9: Kick-off of Art and Garden Street Fair, South Suburban Humane Society "Pets on Parade" unveiling, Martin Avenue Square, 2-9 p.m.
