Homewood Death Linked to Cold Conditions
A 56-year-old woman's death was caused, in part, by hypothermia.

A woman from out of state who died in Homewood on New Year’s Eve is Cook County’s most recent cold-related death.
Debra McCann, 56, was pronounced dead at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, reports Tribune Media.
An autopsy ruled that McCann, of Port Orange, Delaware, died of a heart attack and heart disease. Obesity and hypothermia due to cold exposure were listed as contributing factors. Her death was ruled an accident, according to the report.
