Homewood Giant Block Party Will Celebrate Milestone Anniversary

The Giant Block Party on Saturday, Aug. 18 will celebrate Homewood neighborhoods while marking the 125th anniversary of the village.

HOMEWOOD, IL - The 13th annual Giant Block Party hosted by the village of Homewood will celebrate the history of Homewood neighborhoods while commemorating the 125th anniversary of the village. The public is invited to gather for the event on Martin Avenue between Ridge and Hickory roads from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18.

“Homewood enjoys coming together as a community,” Mayor Rich Hofeld said. “Not every block in Homewood hosts a party so the Village is hosing a giant block party for the whole town to get together and have a good time. Bring the family and invite the neighbors. I look forward to seeing you there.”
