Homewood Man, 33, Dies after Industrial Accident in Chicago Heights
The man died from injuries sustained when struck in the head by steel tubing.
A 33-year-old Homewood man died was struck in the head by steel tubing and died Monday, at a manufacturing company in Chicago Heights.
Kevin Bewley, of the 200 block of Hawthorne Road, was found lying on the ground at PTC Alliance, 475 E. 16th St., about 4 a.m. with “severe head trauma,” Sun-Times Media reports.
Bewley had been seen moving a large bundle of steel tubing and was struck in the head by the bundle, police said.

Bewley was taken to Franciscan St. James Health in Chicago Heights, where he died at 4:38 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. His death was ruled an accident.
