HOMEWOOD, IL - Homewood Rail Fest returns for its 13th year next month. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 at the H-F Park District Auditorium at 2010 Chestnut Road. It will include a number of activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.
According to a news release, visitors of Homewood Rail Fest 2017 will experience intricate multiple gauge train layouts, kids crafts and entertainment that will include a performance from MG Bailey on Martin Avenue Square.
“Homewood loves celebrating its railroad heritage,” said Village Mayor Rich Hofeld. “Our friends at the Homewood Science Center are also planning activities that explore the physics and fun of railroads and roller coasters."
