Homewood Streets Will Be Paved This Year

The village will spend nearly $400,000 to resurface sections of four streets.

HOMEWOOD, IL - A handful of Homewood streets will be resurfaced this year after none were worked on in 2016.

Four roadways were selected for resurfacing after village trustees approved a $370,000 appropriation from the 2017 Motor Fuel Tax allocation, according to a Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle report.

“Last year was the first time we did not do any street paving,” Public Works Director John Schaefer said. “But we feel more confident this year with the MFT funding available.”
