IJP Alum Named Valedictorian for Second Straight Year
Madeleine Kelly of Flossmoor is Marian Catholic's 2016 Valedictorian!

For the second year in a row, an Infant Jesus of Prague School alum has been named Marian Catholic High School’s Valedictorian. Congratulations to Madeleine Kelly of Flossmoor for being named MCHS’ 2016 Class Valedictorian! “Maddie” is a 2012 IJP Graduate who will be heading to Harvard University in the fall where she will major in either a mathematics or science-related field. Maddie is looking forward to all the new opportunities Harvard will present—meeting incredible professors, getting involved in exciting extracurricular activities, and enjoying the freedom to expand her education in any direction she chooses. “I’m also looking forward to the new experience of living on the East Coast after 18 years in the South Suburbs of Chicago.”
When asked about her success, Maddie responded, “I attribute my success to the work ethic my parents instilled in me. They supported me all throughout school and encouraged me to always give my best effort into everything I did inside and outside of school. My IJP start helped me tremendously with having a religious education background, as well as being familiar with writing essays and doing lots of reading. IJP is where I learned to love to read, and I think having that interest helped me approach schoolwork with an open mind and a desire to learn something new in all subject areas.”
Best of luck to you, Maddie, in everything that lies ahead!
