Robin Kelly Wins 2nd Congressional District Democratic Primary

The Republican primary remains too close to call.

ILLINOIS 2ND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT - Incumbent Illinois 2nd District Congresswoman Robin Kelly has won the Democratic nomination and will have a chance to win re-election in November. With more than 80 percent of precincts reporting as of 9 p.m., Kelly had 81.9 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary to her challenger Marcus Lewis' 18.1 percent. The Republican primary remains too close to call, with Patrick Harmon holding on to a narrow lead over David Merkle.
