THE JOURNEY OF MOLLIE'S WAR

Wednesday, May 11th, 12:00-2:00 at Flossmoor Community Church, Fellowship Hall, 2218 Hutchison Road, Flossmoor

The Women's and Men's Association are proud to present author Cyndee Schaffer at our May Luncheon/Program, giving a presentation entitled "The Journey of Mollie's War from Inspiration to Publication." Cyndee Schaffer discusses women in the military during WWII and, in particular, her mother's experiences as a member of the Women's Army Corps (WAC) as she followed the troops into England, France and Germany. Using excerpts from Millie's letters written home to her family, Schaffer takes you on the romantic and always frightful journey of a woman in uniform during this historic time. Multi-media program includes WAC recruiting movie, slide show, photos, letters, medals, and memorabilia. Copies of Mollie's War will be available for purchase and signing.

Our catered Luncheon begins at 12:00 P.M. with the Program following at 1:00 P.M. Reservations are required for the Luncheon ($12.00 per ticket) and can be purchased by calling Kim Sifner (708-754-2683). There is a fee of $5.00 for attendance at the Program only which will be payable at the door.

Come one, come all, to hear this fascinating journey.
