Live to 100!

Thursday, June 16 from 7:00-8:00pm. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Avenue (Helen Wilson Meeting Room)

What are the secrets to a long and healthy life? U.S. life expectancy (76 for men and 81 for women) ranks 26th in the world. Recently, the National Geographic Society identified hot spots of longevity around the world known as “Blue Zones.” These areas have high concentrations of 100-year-olds and clusters of people who have grown old without diseases like heart problems, obesity, cancer, or diabetes. Terry Fisk will explain how you can calculate your life expectancy and what lifestyle changes you can make to increase your odds of living to 100. Topics discussed include exercise, intermittent fasting, meditation, and whole-food, plant-based diets.
