Firefighter Wesley Marvel, of the Robbins Fire Department, will be heating up the competition again this year in the Firehouse cook-off at the BIG Event on May 3, at 115 Bourbon Street. Marvel plans to entice the judges with his delicious Smoked Ham. The more than 700 attendees of Sertoma Centre’s annual firefighters cook-off always look forward to Marvel’s entry.
Marvel is a dedicated firefighter and member of his community like all our awesome firefighters and paramedics. They not only do they serve the community, they support individuals with disabilities. Firefighters from Crestwood, Blue Island, Lemont, Lombard, Niles and two Chicago Firehouses as well as Paramedic from Naperville all plan to fire things up on Saturday, May 3, from 5 – 9 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL. Sponsored by local Sertoma Clubs and the Aileen S. Andrew Foundation, attendees can sample the food as guest judges select the best firefighter chefs in the competition.
