Missing Nursing Home Patient Last Seen in Chicago
Police are searching for 64-year-old Thord Umbenstock, who left the Walmart store in Homewood Tuesday afternoon.

HOMEWOOD, IL - Police in Homewood are looking for a a man reported missing Tuesday afternoon at the Walmart at 17550 S. Halsted St.
Thord Umbenstock, 64, was visiting the store with a group from Countryside Nursing Home in Dolton before he was reported missing, according to a Facebook post from the village of Homewood.
Umbenstock was last seen around 3:27 p.m. walking north from the store. He is approximately 6'3", 265 pounds and was wearing a black and blue jacket, orange shirt and blue jeans at the time.

As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, Umbenstock has still not been found. Homewood Deputy Police Chief Denise McGrath said he was seen between 5:30-6 p.m. Tuesday night in the area of 95th and State streets in the city of Chicago.
"That is his last confirmed sighting," McGrath said.

His caretakers have indicated to police that he has a history of mental health disorder.
