Marc Wilson Named Glenwood Academy Student of the Month
Second grader Marc Wilson's favorite subject is Math and he loves to play basketball.
GLENWOOD ACADEMY NAMES MARC WILSON STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Marc Wilson has been chosen as the Glenwood Academy Student of the Month! Marc is eight years old and is in second grade. He came to Glenwood Academy about one year ago.
Marc has a brother, Mason, who is nine years old, and a sister, Christina, who is aged 14.

There are many things Marc loves about Glenwood Academy. He LOVES math, and his favorite teacher is Ms. Martin. He also loves playing basketball at Glenwood Academy.
“When the going gets tough, the tough get going,” said Ms. Martin, when asked about Marc. “Marc is the toughest working student I know, and he always gets going on his work, even when it challenges him. I have watched him grow into a wonderful young man with this mindset and I believe he will conquer anything that lies ahead.”

In his free time, Marc plays basketball, reads books and loves going to the movies. He hopes to one day attend Marian Catholic High School, because that is where his sister goes to school.
When he gets older, Marc wants to be an NBA player because he loves basketball that much!
When asked what his favorite thing is about Glenwood, Marc says, Glenwood is a great school and has so many fun activities for me!”
Glenwood Academy Glenwood Academy provides life-changing situations for students who come from challenging situations, and who have been impacted by poverty, violence, inadequate educational systems, as well as a lack of basic resources, such as food and shelter. Located in Glenwood, Ill., 35 miles south of Chicago, Glenwood Academy is a supportive learning community serving over 150 children ranging from ages seven to 24 from 60 communities throughout the Greater Chicago area. Nearly 100% of our children live at or below the poverty line and 92% come from single parent households.
