Missing 1-Month-Old Baby and 16-Year-Old Mom from Chicago Heights Found on Friday

Runaway returned to DCFS by Cook County Sheriff.

A missing 16-year-old from Chicago Heights and her 1-month-old child were found by the Cook County Sheriff’s Child Protection Response Unit and returned to the Department of Children and Family Services.

The children were located Friday in the 12700 block of South Wallace in Chicago, after members of the Child Protection Unit received information that the teenager may be staying there, the Sheriff’s Department said in a release.

Both children were recovered the same day the Child Protection Response Unit received the child protection warrant. Both appeared to be in good health and were returned to DCFS custody Friday.
