Dear Reader,

I love living in a place with four seasons. Each time the seasons begin to shift, I feel a spark of excitement and find myself saying, “This is my favorite time of year.” Whether it’s the first chilly day of fall, the moment the daffodils bloom, or the first 90-degree day of summer, that same sense of wonder returns.

It happens so often that it’s become a bit of a joke between my husband and I that “everything is my favorite.”

As we move from winter into spring, we can feel the transition not only around us, but within us. Just like the earth, we are slowly defrosting.
