Superintendent Donna Joy said a recent trip to Matteson School reflected positively on Fears' competency as a principal.

"Her school was impeccably clean, but what was really wonderful about her school ... is the joy and learning that was going on and the wonderful relationships  she had both with the children and the teachers," Joy said. "We are very happy to have her."
