New Splash Pad In Homewood Eyes June Opening
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District has set an opening date for the new splash pad in Millennium Park.

HOMEWOOD, IL - The new splash pad that's going up at Millennium Park in Homewood won't be open for Memorial Day weekend as was originally hoped. The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District has now set a June 20 opening date for the new attraction.
When it opens, the Splash Pad will be designed for children 10 years old and under. It will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to noon, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
It's free admission for those who reside in the H-F Park District and $5 per child for non-residents. Group passes can be purchased for $45 at the Goldberg Center.

Since there was a delay in the opening date, the Splash Pad may be open well past Labor Day if the weather allows it.
"If there is a silver lining to this delay, it is that the new Splash Pad should be able to stay open later in the season for relief from those hot fall days," the H-F Park District wrote on its website.
