Patch Reading Club at the Homewood Library is back!

Scouts aren't the only groups to reward skills with patches, the Library does too!

The Patch Reading Club for kids is back with a vengeance: new patches, new categories, and new rules!

Open for kids from 3 years old to the 6th grade the Patch Club encourages you to read outside your comfort zone, while winning some cool prizes! Each participant will receive a booklet to track the books read in each of 20 categories. The preschool participants will collect reward stickers right in their booklet. The K-6 readers will collect cloth patches for each successfully completed category.

Once you have signed up, you can also participate in a monthly prize drawing, if you have read enough books, that is!

Last, but not least, for successfully completing at least one category between October 20 2014 and May 1 2015, you will be invited to the Patch Club Pizza Party!

For more information about this program, and to get a glimpse of some of the patches you can score, visit the Youth Services Desk, or send an email to kellyc@homewoodlibrary.net.
