Police Hunt Gunman Who Shot Flossmoor Resident, Thornton Teacher

Police said teacher and Flossmoor resident Michael Brown was shot in the back while driving through Harvey Saturday. He was listed in stable condition Monday.

Harvey police are looking for a person who shot a Flossmoor resident in the back over the weekend. 

Michael Brown, a Thornton High School teacher, was discovered shot in the back after crashing his car into a parked one near 154th Street and Ashland Avenue Saturday, Times of Northwest Indiana reports. 

Police told reporters that they did not know where the shot originated, or if Brown was the intended target.

Brown is a math teacher at the school. He was taken to Advocated Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he remained in serious condition Monday.
