Power Washers, Grill Stolen From Walmart Via Emergency Exit
A man is suspected of using the emergency exit at the Walmart in Homewood to steal heavy merchandise on three separate occasions.

HOMEWOOD, IL - A Blue Island man faces multiple felony theft counts after police in Homewood say it was he who stole heavy merchandise from the Walmart in the village on three separate occasions earlier this month. Jeffrey Wordelmann, 58 faces three counts of retail theft by emergency exit after he was found and arrested on Sept. 17, police said.
Wordelmann's first suspected theft from the Walmart at 17550 S. Halsted St. occurred on Sept. 6, when police say he exited the store through the emergency exit with a power washer worth $297. He's suspected of using the emergency exit again the next day when police say he left with a grill valued at $396. The third alleged incident was reported on Sept.11, when police say he used the emergency exit yet again by taking another power washer worth $338.
