Ridge Road Construction Begins Today

IDOT will begin work of the resurfacing of Ridge Road today starting at Halsted Street, and drivers should expect some delays and limited parking.

You might want to think twice before traveling down Ridge Road during weekdays throughout the next seven weeks.

Beginning today, the Illinois Department of Transportation is scheduled to commence the resurfacing of nearly two miles of Ridge Road in a projected expected to last until Sept. 30.

Construction is planned to start at Halsted Street and move west to Harwood Avenue, according to a news release from the village e-newswire.

Those planning on traveling along Ridge Road during construction hours should expect delays, according to the village e-newswire. Additionally, limited parking will be available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Despite the construction-related inconveniences, however, Ridge Road and all the businesses along it will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
