Roadside History of Illinois

Thursday, July 16 from 7:00-8:00pm - Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Avenue - Helen Wilson Meeting Room

Author Stan “Tex” Banash will be at the library to discuss his book, Roadside History of Illinois. The nearly 500-page book covers the history of the state from the Ice Age to the present, offering vacationers, tourists, visitors, and residents a series of short trips mostly along old U.S. highways, and country roads that provide a glimpse into numerous historic sites as well as a history of nearly 250 significant cities, towns and villages. A question and answer session will follow the talk, and books will be available for purchase and inscription afterward.
