PARK FOREST, IL — A series of fires in Park Forest — all of which have occurred at the same vacant house — are under investigation. Park Forest police said the most recent fire at 33 Monee Road near Western Avenue and Sauk Trail was reported on Jan. 2 around 4:30 p.m.

That was the fourth fire reported at the residence since the beginning of November, police said. Fully engulfed in flames when first responders arrived, the Jan. 2 fire was deemed to be suspicious.

A Park Forest firefighter suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized during one of the previous three blazes at the home.
